We left Rome for Florence, along the way we saw the gorgeous scenery of Tuscany and Lake Como. We arrived at  lookout in Florence and saw the city from a fairly good height. Did some more souvenir shopping then met with another local guide to see the Statue of David (no photos allowed) he is 5 metres tall and what a statue! You can see the muscles and veins in his legs.  They have a computer hooked up to him to gauge the marble to see if it is cracking. We then had free time to shop in Florence. LOTS of leather, I bought a nice new leather jacket for $110 euro..bargain! Also got a new bag and Rob got a jacket as well. Jake got a new school bag.
