Overnighter at London

The time had finally arrived for us to leave Sydney and go on our holiday, we travelled to the airport and boarded the plane for Abu Dhabi, we stayed there overnight and flew out to London at 2.35am. We arrived at Heathrow to find it was 5c outside and guess who didnt have a jumper! Abu Dhabi was 43c when we left so I didnt even think about it.

We were picked up at Heathrow by a hilarious bus driver called Bruno who kept yelling out Aussie Aussie Aussie! When we arrived at the hotel we were all very jetlagged and tried to stay awake, we went for a short stroll around the area we were in (Kensington)

The next morning we had our first wake up call for the trip.. 4.15AM eek! we needed to be down for breakfast by 4.45am then had to leave the Hilton Kensington by 5.15am. We met a few of the holiday makers at breakfast and we all boarded the bus. We also met Graham our tour director who is very helpful and reigns from NZ but his jokes are really quite bad (pretty much dad jokes) you know the type.

We drove through Kensington, Westminster and the gorgeous English countryside before boarding a P&O ferry to cross the English channel. The boat ride goes for around an hour 30 so we had some light lunch while on there. Once at Calais we boarded the bus again and drove through Northern France, Belgium, and finally Nederlands our overnight stop.
