Creative Asia awards 2012

This year I entered these awards again. Its always a tug at the heart when I enter anything. There is always the I should of entered something different, I should of made that colour not black and white, I should of chosen the other version of a similar shot. It does my head in but I still enter because its a great way to push myself. This year I received 4 bronze awards. With scores that were 73, 73, 76 and 79.

The 79 one (grandma being lifted) has been chosen as a finalist in the top 25 for wedding photo journalism. That put a smile on my face not only for the obvious reason but because its an image I am so proud of. I remember the feeling in the room at this particular moment and there wasnt a dry eye. Mine included! So so sooooo happy to see it do well
