How did you meet each other? Cory and I met at Newcastle University in an 8am class. He was making a water dripping noise and I was looking around for it. The next week he tried to sit with me but another girl sat with him so he caught up to me after class. He asked if he could walk with me when I was going to meet friends. From that day on we found each other on Facebook and spoke all the time and saw each other at uni then he asked me out a couple of weeks later. Been together ever since.
Describe your ideal wedding day: Full of laughs with close family and friends that are happy for us.
Who did you choose to marry you, and why? Jeremy Bell from That Alter Guy because he is funny and easy going.
Tell me about your venue? What was the deciding factor? We chose the Crown and Anchor, upstairs at Sprout Dining. We like that it is in town and it’s a beautiful lowkey venue. The staff have been so helpful and very budget friendly. I love that its light and has exposed brick. Cory and I felt it was very ‘us’.
Why did you end up choosing Lisa Lent to shoot your day? We were very lost with photographers and Lisa was recommended to us. I don’t enjoy photos so I wanted to meet Lisa first. After the meeting I knew she would be perfect for our day. She made us feel very comfortable in the meeting and her photos are amazing.
Which company is doing your hair and make up? Style by Divine – Steph is doing mine hair and makeup and my mum’s makeup. Chelsea Evans Makeup Artist is doing my 4 bridesmaid’s hair and makeup.
Where did you get your wedding day clothing from ? My dress is from the Bridal Outlet Somersby. Bridesmaids dresses are from Kiss Kiss Bang Hamilton. Cory’s suit is from Ferrari Formal Wear Somersby and the groomsmen are hiring from there too.
Who is doing your florals and your decorations? Newcastle Flower Market is doing my bouquet and I am purchasing flowers through them to make my bridesmaids bouquets and Boutonnière they will be simply enough for me to put together. I am also purchasing some roses from Dom’s Flowers, Cory always buys me his roses.
Name 2 things you want your guests to remember about your wedding: The atmosphere and the food.

Anything else that you would like to tell us that is important for your special day? I Don’t think so! Thank you for being a part of it! We want to have a small intimate ceremony with close friends and family and feel you are perfect to capture that.
Lisa is by far the best photographer I have ever come across, extremely approachable and down to earth. She was not afraid to have a bit of fun while taking the photos on our special day resulting in some truly exceptional photos that portrayed exactly who we are as people and as a couple. From the get go she helped us every step of the way from the locations to take the photos to even suggesting the perfect ceremony time to capture the perfect lighting and magic of our wedding. When it came to the speeches and vows i didn’t even notice she was there, with her amazing equipment she was able to capture all of the love and joy without being in the way or noticeable from the guests. She listened to all the things we wanted along the way and focused on pictures that were important to us. It didn’t even take 24 hours for her to share my photos this is because her photos are 100% talent, none of this fake Photoshop bull trying to change the way we look just pure talent capturing the most amazing day of our lives. Our photos by Lisa are proof that magic is real and we thank her so much for allowing us to re-live these memories over and over for years to come.
How did you meet each other? We had mutual friends but it was a random facebook friend request that got
us talking. We met up a week later for our first date and never looked back.
Describe your ideal wedding day: We just wanted something fun and a little bit fancy. The most important
part was having all the people we love there.
Who did you choose to marry you, and why? We chose Fiona Rogers – she was Matt’s Mums hairdresser
and came recommended from Lisa too. She is doing the girls hair and make-up too so it was a win-win. We
met Fiona and immediately knew we had made the right decision.
Tell me about your venue? What was the deciding factor? We chose to get married at Estate Tuscany in
Pokolbin as we wanted somewhere a bit fancy. It is the perfect combination of a true Hunter Valley wine estate
wedding while still being rustic and casual. The grounds are magnificent and we felt we could get a variety of
pictures on the day.
Why did you end up choosing Lisa Lent to shoot your day? We looked around and priced a few
photographers looking into ones we had known people had used before. Lisa had shot a few weddings of
mutual friends and being a central coast local came up on facebook a lot. It was fate when she had a special
deal running that we just booked in and went for it. All communications with Lisa have been easy and fuss free.
Which company is doing your hair and make-up? Our celebrant Fiona is a hair and makeup artist, Divine
Hair and beauty. We went with Fiona as she was already going to be there and had been recommended so
highly.
Are you having a DJ or live band? Who did you choose? We are having a musician – Jordan Roach. He is
Matt’s Dad’s guitar coach. He does weddings and events and we wanted something more casual so looking
forward to having a guitar strumming along while we enjoy our day.
Where did you get your wedding day clothing from? Jess is 34 weeks pregnant so we knew a traditional
dress wasn’t going to cut it. She got a lovely maternity lace dress from Maive and Bo which is surprising just
like the dress she would have had anyway. The girls bridesmaids dresses are from Myer and the Matt and the
groomsmens outfits are from David Jones.
Who is doing your florals and your decorations? The flowers all came from Tuggerah Beautiful Flowers
and Jess’s mum is doing the table decorations and arranging flowers along the tables too. She has even made
individual jars of jam as the bonbonnieres and placecards.
Name 2 things you want your guests to remember about your wedding: That they had a fun day with
great food and drinks.
What is your first dance song? I don’t want to miss a thing – Aerosmith.
How did you meet? – We met at at mutual friends hours 17 years ago, went on a date a few weeks later and here we are getting married!
Describe your ideal wedding day – Everything going to plan! ha ha. My ideal wedding day would involve lots of laughter, great food and a relaxed feel.
Who did you choose to marry you? – We chose Claire Goodwin. Claire was booked for our daughter Isabella’s naming day celebration and we just fell in love with Claire’s beautiful nature so of course we had to have her for our wedding day.
Tell me about your venue, what was the deciding factor? – The venue is Kangy Gardens and it was love at first sight. The gardens and the whole layout of the venue is stunning and everything is all in the one place and Sue the General manager is wonderful to work with.
Why did you end up choosing Lisa Lent to shoot your day? – I met Lisa at a wedding expo many years ago and found Lisa to be so helpful and friendly. I looked her up when the planning started and booked her straight away.
