We all took our seats and waited in anticipation for our images to come up for judging. The judging is spread out over 3 rooms so we needed to keep an eye on the screen to know whether our images were being judged in the other rooms.

After a few hours and none of my images showing up I was beginning to think that they got lost in the post! But up comes my favourite image that I entered, it was being scored in room 2, so I just sat put and waited for my score to come up… 82 came up, and I was quite excited as that meant I just got a silver award… then I see “Score Contested” meaning there was debate on the score, so off I run to room 2 to hear what they were talking about.

What I found was one of the best wedding photographers in the world, Yervant arguing for my print…. now at this stage I was very nervous.. Not only is he someone I greatly admire, he was now trying to get me a better score than I already had!! After a bit of debate, they rescored my image and after a few nailbiting seconds I come to realise I now have a silver with distinction!!

I remember saying to my husband I am so thrilled that I received a silver with distinction but I was more thrilled that Yervant loved my image! Now THATS a buzz!

Hayley and Geoff were married at The Sebel Kirkton Park on the 2nd April. Hayley and the girls got ready in Manor House with the lovely Melli doing their makeup. What a gorgeous place to get married and have your reception. Photos followed the ceremony around the grounds. I loved this wedding as I was able to get lots of candids which I love doing. There were also plenty of people to photograph that were fun and candid, everyone had such a great time.

Hayley and Geoff did their bridal waltz a little differently, they danced outside in the dark, only lit by the DJs lights and my flash. Guests were wowed by a huge amount of fireworks that only a few knew about. They were nothing short of spectacular and went on for at least 8-10 minutes.

The reception was also awesome with loads of dancing and a fun photo booth supplied by Photo Booth Events I am quite sure some of the photos from that are of the R rating!

A HUGE thank you to everyone for their co-operation and to Hayley and Geoff for booking me. I loved every second!!

Thank you to everyone involved in yesterdays wedding. Tara and Luke you are surrounded by some gorgeous friends and family! I felt very welcome.

This Sunday the 20th June, the Central Coast will host another huge wedding expo at Mingara. The Getting Hitched expo had over 1600 couples through last year and this year promises to be just as big.
