  • I love movies, sitcoms and everything in between…even the occasional reality show.
  • I love giving, much more than receiving.
  • I love music of all kinds.. there is not a day goes by without some kind of music playing in my home.
  • I love laughing, especially to the point of no return.
  • I love Vegemite on fresh bread and don’t even get me started on what I think of Tiramisu.
  • I cry at TV commercials and I literally cry at every wedding I photograph.
  • I am a very proud mum of 2 teenage boys. Who said teenage boys were hard work?
  • I have been very happily married for 20 years to the most wonderful man.
  • I love it when clients come to me and say they want to do something “different” with their photos. I love being able to be creative every day of my life.
  • I love meeting new people and hearing their stories.

Thats me on a personal level…Professionally, I picked up a camera in 1998 and could not for the life of me work out how to use it. It wasnt till quite a few years later that I decided to try again. I photographed everything and anything that moved or didnt move. I entered a local competition and came second! It was from then on that I thought there may be something to this. So with lots of practising and lots of mistakes I came to realise that I definitely wanted to pursue this as a career, I just wasnt sure which direction I wanted to go in.

I tried landscapes but was quickly bored, I tried sport photography and this still didnt feel quite right. One day out of desperation a couple called me and asked me to do their wedding. I kept telling them I had never done one before..ever.. they were better off getting someone experienced, they still decided on me. So off I went to shoot this wedding and I remember that day as if it were yesterday. I left that church crying. There was no doubt in my mind that weddings were the direction for me. Even though there was a ton of stress, I felt so at home at the same time.

I am always looking at ways to improve my work. I regularly attend seminars and workshops and enter awards, both international and Australian. In the last year I received 25 awards and was lucky enough to come first at WPPI’s 8×10 inch wedding photo competition for a bridal party photo I entered.  Theres nothing quite like the buzz of doing well in competitions..the only thing that comes close is when a couple that I have photographed are thrilled with their photos. I am so lucky to do the job I do.

Feel free to give me a call on 0438 643 026, lets get together have a coffee and have a chat. I look forward to hearing from you.
