Kangy Garden wedding – Leesa and Jason
How did you meet each other? Through a mutual friend at Woodport – Woodies. Took us 4/5ish years to actually get together though.
Describe your ideal wedding day. Sunshine! (Fingers crossed lol) FUN, LOOSE, LOVEABLE
Who did you choose to marry you, and why? Fiona Rogers, we both vibed with Fiona right away! How we found out about her was very unusual. She did my hair and makeup for a photo shoot I did with Kel-Leigh Couture back in May 2019. Fiona made us feel very comfortable and very loved and seems very down to earth.
Tell me about your venue? What was the deciding factor? Again, we found this amazing Gem (Kangy Gardens) from the photo shoot with Kel. It’s on the Central Coast (local venue), the atmosphere is calming and beautiful and the owners Sue and Phil are welcoming. It feels like we’ve known them for years. They are also very honest, even if goes against your ideas. Which is great as they know the venue and what works.
Why did you end up choosing Lisa Lent to shoot your day? Are there other photographers????? There was absolutely no doubt in our minds that LISA would be shooting our special day. We first met Lis at Megan and Daniel’s Wedding back in 2015. Once we told her Kel was Jason’s Aunty, the rest was history. We’ve been to at least 5 other weddings that Lis has photographed and we just love how she interacts with guests and also manages to capture amazing candid photos.
Which company is doing your hair and make up? Hair – Krystal Ko-Kass and make up – Brittany Ivery.
Are you having a DJ or live band? We are using Timeless Wedding Entertainment, we have an acoustic playing for ceremony right through to canapes and DJ from reception onwards.
Who did you choose? Where did you get your wedding day clothing from ? Leesa’s dress is a custom made gown from Kel-Leigh Couture. The Bridesmaids dresses are also from Kel. The boys are all in kilts from Sydney Kilt Hire.
Who is doing your florals and your decorations? Florals, Rebecca Kurtz from Kurtzys Flowers. Decorations, Kangy Gardens and us, very minimalistic.
Name 2 things you want your guests to remember about your wedding. FUN & LOVING atmosphere. & good food, vibes and amazing venue.
What is your first dance song? Beautiful Crazy by Luke Coombs. Jase had picked this song for us even before we were engaged.
Anything else that you would like to tell us that is important for your special day? Watch out for a few surprises.
