Natalie & Ali's Secret Wedding at Yarramalong Farmstay & Surprise Reception at Jerry Sent Me

Some weddings follow tradition. Others create their own rules. Natalie and Ali chose the latter, planning a day that was intimate, personal and full of unforgettable surprises.
Their wedding began with a beautiful ceremony at Yarramalong Farmstay, shared with just 14.  As the sun set, the celebrations moved to Jerry Sent Me, one of the Central Coast’s coolest cocktail bars, where friends and extended family arrived believing they were attending Natalie’s glamorous masquerade-themed 50th birthday party.

Little did they know… they were actually walking into a wedding reception.

An intimate wedding at Yarramalong Farmstay

Surrounded by the peaceful countryside of Yarramalong Valley, Natalie and Ali exchanged vows in front of the people who knew them best. With only 14 guests, the ceremony was relaxed, emotional and incredibly meaningful.

Yarramalong Farmstay provided the perfect setting, with its picturesque rural backdrop, beautiful gardens and tranquil atmosphere allowing everyone to simply enjoy the moment.

After the ceremony, we wandered the property to capture some beautiful portraits before the couple headed off to prepare for the evening’s big surprise.

A surprise reception at Jerry Sent Me

The celebrations continued at Jerry Sent Me, one of the Central Coast’s most stylish cocktail bars, where friends and extended family arrived dressed to impress for what they believed was Natalie’s glamorous 50th birthday masquerade party.

The venue was the perfect choice. Its moody lighting, handcrafted cocktails and sophisticated atmosphere created the ideal setting for an unforgettable evening. Guests mingled over drinks, admired the incredible styling and enjoyed catching up, completely unaware that they were about to become part of something much bigger.

Then Natalie and Ali arrived!

Instead of walking into a birthday celebration, they made their grand entrance as newlyweds, revealing that they had married earlier that day in an intimate ceremony at Yarramalong Farmstay.

The room erupted with cheers, applause, laughter and plenty of happy tears as the surprise sank in. The reactions were priceless, and it was such a joy to capture those genuine, unscripted moments that can never be recreated.

A wedding that was truly their own

Natalie and Ali proved that your wedding doesn’t have to follow tradition to be unforgettable.

Sharing an intimate ceremony with just 14 of their closest family, before surprising everyone else with a glamorous masquerade reception, they created a celebration that reflected exactly who they are.

From the peaceful countryside of Yarramalong Farmstay to the vibrant atmosphere of Jerry Sent Me, every part of the day was thoughtfully planned. Adding to the magic, every decoration throughout both the ceremony and reception was beautifully designed and styled by Natalie herself, making the celebration feel even more personal.

It was elegant, relaxed, fun and filled with genuine emotion from beginning to end.

As a documentary-style wedding photographer, these are the stories I love telling, the real moments, the unexpected reactions and the authentic emotions that make every wedding unique.
