CENTRAL COAST WEDDING & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER
2022 – 90% booked – 2023 booking now!
In this time I have photographed over 850 weddings, numerous events such as the 2GO Carols by Candlelight, Give me 5 for kids ball and so many more.
My approach to a photographing a wedding is really quite simple. Limited time away from your guests, quick turn around and a very laid back vibe.
My approach to head shots is very much the same. I know your time is limited so once I set up I will call you out for your image. No waiting around.
My approach to family portraits and events is also very similar with myself being a “fly on the wall” and just shooting whatever is happening at the time, with a little direction when needed.

Why choose the Central Coast?
My top 5 reasons to have your wedding on the glorious Central Coast.
From bush to beach and everything inbetween. The Central Coast is a stunning place to create the day of your dreams.
Lisa is simply the best photographer you could ever choose!
Before the wedding she went above and beyond when we had countless questions about wedding planning other things we had no idea about.
On the day she was professional, got those candid shots and was generally just a super-human!
We love our wedding photos. So happy we chose Lisa!
Lisa, your work is 100% quality. From my first contact with you to our wedding day and even after that you made everything easy. You captured our wedding day beautifully. You created shots that we could have never dreamed of taking and you captured love, happiness, tears, friendships & family.
We did not really want to leave our wedding for a photoshoot but you convinced us to sneak off for literally 10 mins and the results are nothing short of breath taking. Most of the time we hardly noticed you snapping away and capturing beautiful memories for us.
Lisa is absolutely wonderful. We couldn’t have even dreamed of a better experience! She was more than happy to promptly answer any questions we had, and kept in touch frequently up until our wedding day. When the day finally came, she made it so easy and FUN for us, we usually don’t like having our photos taken but Lisa made it so natural and had so much fun with us.
She blended in perfectly to our reception, all of our guests were so impressed by her friendliness and professionalism that they hardly even noticed her taking photos!
More time with your guests
The last thing I want to do is drag you away for ages for photos. You invited your guests for a reason right, to spend time with them not with me.
My style is what I call 50/50. This means 50% of the day I shoot the “required” images such as bridal party and family.
The other 50% is candid, unobtrusive, let you enjoy your party type shooting.
If there is a stunning sunset I of course will try and grab you for 5 minutes to take advantage of it.
I don’t like my photo being taken.
99% of the population are right there with you! Me included!
There are definite ways I shoot that are really casual, non obtrusive and just plain fun.
My approach is very very simple. That’s a nice spot, go stand there and hug, have a laugh, be a bit cheeky if you like.
I always have a zoom lens on so I am not near you when I shoot.
I don’t keep you from your guests for long at all and I make it all very light hearted with very little forced posing. It is more a gentle direction.
Bring some drinks if you like. Bring some music if you like! Bring some funny movie quotes if you like.

Central Coast wedding Venues
I have pretty much worked at every Central Coast venue at least once.
Some venues over 40 times, so I know them back to front! I know the great spots to shoot, I know when the light is right at different locations and I know the staff and how the venues run.
Feel free to ask some advice when planning your Central Coast wedding.
I have worked at Bells at Killcare probably at least 40 times over the years and its still one of my faves. Only 90 minutes drive north of Sydney and situated high on the NSW Bouddi Peninsula, the property is surrounded by untouched National Park, many secluded beaches and pristine bays.
The Stables of Somersby is such a gorgeous place to have your wedding. Nestled on a stunning property, this venue offers accommodation above their amazing barn. Beautiful grounds for your wedding photos that include a little jetty, barn, boathouse and even a horse. Definitely worth a look.
Lisa was an absolute pleasure to work with from the get go, she was very insightful and helpful in the lead up. When it came to the day, she was prompt, courteous and extremely professional. Lisa was the best vendor to work with throughout the planning and postponement of our wedding! The photo’s are absolutely amazing and such a quick turnaround!! She helped so much and we are forever grateful! Even helped with our wedding timeline, she was always there for any questions or advice throughout the whole process.
The photo’s, blog and gif’s she did for us are perfect and can recommend her services for anyone! Thank you again, you were a standout on our day and the quickest turnaround (all photo’s within a few days) so we could keep riding the wedding high.
We chose to go with Lisa Lent Photography after a friend of ours raved about her. We certainly weren’t disappointed, from the day we first emailed her, to our meeting and on the wedding day Lisa was friendly, organised, professional and easy going! Lisa was always fast at replying to emails, would send the odd message to check in and to see if we needed help with anything!
We loved our wedding blog, it was done so quickly, it was amazing to share with all our family and friends from overseas. Lisa had our photos edited within a few days, her photography skills are amazing and we are so happy with all our wedding photos and our wedding album is gorgeous! We would highly recommend Lisa to anyone looking for a wedding photographer!
Lisa, I don’t know how we can begin to thank you for everything you have done for us over the past month. You have gone above and beyond in every conversation, Facebook message, email and phone call we have had!
The weather forecast only went from bad to worse every time I checked and you stayed cool, calm and collected (which is what every bride needs when faced with a looming East Coast Low.) I love that you embraced the crazy weather we encountered and I can confidently tell any bride to embrace the rain because the photos are AMAZING!
The photos are a true representation of Andrew and my life and love and will be cherished by us forever!
Frequently Asked Questions
Are you vaccinated against Covid?
Yes I am double vaxxed and ready to start shooting again!
What is your photography style?
My style is photo journalistic and a little directed when needed. I like to photograph the day as it unfolds. Most couples that I have photographed already have said it didnt even feel like I was there.
I truly believe to get the best photographs for your most important day, you and your partner need to be as relaxed as possible…oh and let’s have some fun too!
What kind of Equipment do you use?
I use Canon camera’s and lenses. I carry a backup of everything incase anything should go wrong. I like to know that I have every possible outcome covered.
My camera has dual card slots that backs up the images as I shoot too.
How many pictures will you take?
I dont have a limit on how much I shoot. Most couples usually end up with around 600-800 images depending on how long I am booked for.
Do we get to choose which images are colour or black and white?
I shoot everything in colour. While I am editing your photos I will see which ones I believe would benefit greatly from being turned into a black and white.
What is required to book the date?
I require both a deposit of $500 this is non refundable as well as a signed contract. This guarantees your date. The balance is due 4 weeks before the day of the event. Since I book my dates on a first come first serve basis, I do not hold dates until I actually receive both a signed contract and deposit. However, if someone else asks about my services on your date, I will try my best to inform you beforehand.
Do you have packages?
Sure do! To receive a pdf pricelist, just pop me an email at [email protected] or alternatively you can make up your own! Just let Lisa know what you would like included.
How about products?
I have a range of beautifully made albums, prints, canvas prints and parent albums. All proudly Australian Made. Please feel free to contact me on 0438 643 026 to meet up so you can view these products.
Do you charge extra for travel?
If your wedding is on the NSW Central Coast or the Hunter Valley, I dont charge for travel. However if your wedding is in Sydney there will be a $200 travel fee. I am available throughout Australia, there will be an additional travel and accommodation charge though.
Do you mind if people other than you take photographs during the wedding?
No, I do not mind at all, your family and friends are excited you are getting married! I do however ask that when I am getting certain shots that other guests wait till I have taken the photos I need, then they can get the ones they want.
Do we get high resolution images?
Yes you do. Your files will be available to download 1-2 weeks after your wedding. I do suggest that you send the link to family and friends to make back up copies.
Am I required to feed you at reception?
Yes, I do require a vegetarian (no mushrooms please) meal. Weddings are long and are very hard on my body, I need a chance to refuel. Another handy tip is to ask for your vendors meal to come out just after yours. That way we have a chance to sit and have a break and eat properly without rushing.
