Why I love April through to September in the Hunter.

I personally love shooting autumn, winter and spring weddings in the Hunter Valley for so many reasons but here are just a few:

  • Beautiful Scenery: The cooler weather offers a spectacular display of nature’s beauty, with trees and foliage changing colours, providing a picturesque backdrop for your wedding photos.
  • Comfortable Weather: The weather during autumn, winter and spring is often mild, making it comfortable for you and your guests to enjoy outdoor activities such as an outdoor ceremony or reception.
  • Availability of Venues: It is considered the off-season for weddings, which means that venues may be more available and less expensive than during peak wedding season.
  • Cozy Atmosphere: As the weather gets cooler, it provides an opportunity to create a cozy and intimate atmosphere for your guests, with warm lighting, candles, firepits and blankets.
  • The light!: Golden hour, also known as magic hour, is the time just after sunrise or just before sunset when the sun is low on the horizon and the light is soft, warm, and golden. My most favourite time to shoot!
