Rafferty’s Resort Wedding!

How did you meet each other? – We met at the Coaster Festival in 2008 through mutual friends and started dating about a month later.

Describe your ideal wedding day  – A beautiful sunny day on the waterfront sharing our love with family and friends.

Tell me about your venue?  – What was the deciding factor? We are getting married at Rafferty’s resort at Cams Wharf. It has a beautiful outlook over the shores of Lake Macquarie. I wanted a waterfront style wedding fairly close to home and it was able to cater for our 100 plus guests.

Why did you end up choosing Lisa Lent to shoot your day?  – I was looking for a photographer and videographer for the day that was reasonably priced and preferably local. I researched a few companies and decided that I liked the photo’s done by Lisa and video’s by Bella. Their communication and understanding with quotes and any questions was great particularly with some of the dilemma’s we faced due to Covid – 19.

Which company is doing your hair and make up?  – Hair is being done by Jenaya Johnson (A friend of Ryan’s sister). Make-up is being done by Brodie Longman from Bridal Glow Hair Design.

Are you having a DJ or live band? –  We are having a live band/ duo which consists of Brent Murphy and Kerryn Peate. They have played at a few friend’s weddings in the past and we loved them.

Where did you get your wedding day clothing from ?   – The Bridal Outlet at Somersby. Bridesmaid dresses were from Brides To Be at Somersby.

Who is doing your florals and your decorations?  – Olivieri’s Florist for flowers and Cupids Corner for decorations of the ceremony.

 Name 2 things you want your guests to remember about your wedding.  – The true love that Ryan and I have for each other and that the ceremony was in true Linda and Ryan style.

What is your first dance song?  – Undecided yet as we have postponed the reception

Anything else that you would like to tell us that is important for your special day?  – After getting engaged on our 10 year anniversary, Ryan and I are finally getting married on our 12 year anniversary.
