Lucy & Peter’s Bidja Estate Wedding. A Celebration Full of Fun & Big Energy

Some weddings feel like a huge exhale,  the kind of day where everyone relaxes instantly, the laughter rolls easily, and the dance floor kicks off long before the reception officially begins.

Lucy and Peter’s Bidja Estate wedding was exactly that. From the moment I arrived, their day had this effortless joy running through it, the perfect match for Bidja’s peaceful countryside charm.

The Morning: Good Vibes Only

Lucy and her bridal party set the tone early. With a big, lively group of friends, music playing, champagne flowing, and plenty of cheeky one-liners being thrown around, it was impossible not to smile behind the camera. The girls were relaxed, glowing, and completely present, exactly the way a wedding morning should be.

Peter’s side was no different. The boys were a mix of jokes, nerves, and excitement, creating the kind of candid moments photographers dream of. Their bridal party as a whole was big, bold, and full of personality and they brought that energy all day long.

A Ceremony In Nature

Bidja Estate always delivers a gorgeous ceremony backdrop, and Lucy and Peter’s setup was no exception. Soft light filtering through the trees, a gentle breeze, and two people who couldn’t stop grinning at each other,  you couldn’t ask for more.

The ceremony was heartfelt but relaxed, filled with genuine moments of connection and spontaneous laughter. Their guests were completely locked in, cheering them on right to the final kiss.

Bridal Party Fun

When you have a large bridal party full of big personalities, portraits become less “posed photos” and more “absolute good times.” We moved around the estate’s stunning grounds, letting everyone be themselves, running, laughing, cheering, and fully embracing the moment.

Lucy and Peter fit right into that energy. They trusted the process, stayed relaxed, and let the day unfold naturally, which always leads to the best images.

Golden Hour and Quiet Moments Together

Even with all the fun, we carved out a little time for the two of them to slip away into the paddocks. Bidja Estate’s golden light was magic that afternoon, soft, warm, and cinematic.

Those portraits show a different side of the day: calm, grounded, and full of genuine connection between just the two of them.

The Dance Floor: A Wild, Joy-Filled Finish

If their ceremony was heartfelt and their portraits energetic, their dance floor was next-level. From the moment the music started, it was packed, no slow warm-up, no waiting for the DJ to “read the room.” Lucy, Peter, and their friends went all-in from the first song.

There was lifting, singing at the top of their lungs, and the kind of dance floor photos that make you feel like you’re right there in the moment. It was messy, fun, real, and everything a wedding celebration should be.
