Rafferty’s Resort wedding – Tegan and Hayden
How did you meet each other?– Hayden and I met through mutual friends a few years ago. We met at McDonalds where Hayden worked at the time and from there only hung out as a group of friends. It wasn’t until a few months of knowing each other we began to talk. At this time I was in a long term relationship, although this was toxic and coming to an end. Hayden was a very supportive friend at the time and we began to hang out just purely as friends. As time went of feelings were developed and now here we are today.
Describe your ideal wedding day– Our ideal wedding day is to be relaxed and laid back. We want to capture our true love story and our personalities on the day. We just hope for everyone to have a good day/night helping us celebrate our love story.
Who did you choose to marry you– our celebrant is Lizzie Robertson
Tell me about your venue? What was the deciding factor? – I have always dreamt of being married in front of water since I was a little girl. I had voiced this to Hayden a lot in discussion throughout the years and after Hayden had completed a wedding at Rafferty’s Resort being a wedding car he had come home and told me about this “perfect wedding venue”. We had both always joked and said we had the venue sorted for when we would eventually get married. Once it come to picking the venue, we both looked at other locations although just didn’t feel happy or like it was the “right place.” As soon as we stepped foot at Rafferty’s and began looking around it instantly felt right, and we knew it was our perfect venue for the day.
Why did you end up choosing Lisa Lent to shoot your day?– we done a lot of research into photographers and videographers and once we come across the duo of Lisa and Bella we fell in love with their vibe and content they had already created.
Which company is doing your hair and make-up?– Hair is being completed by a private hair stylist named Jodine Holland who is a dear friend. Make up is completed by Michaela Bolch who owns Blended By Bolch.
Are you having a DJ or live band? Who did you choose? – Yes, we have chosen to use Timeless DJ/ Entertainment for our music on the night.
Where did you get your wedding day clothing from?- Wedding dress was purchased from Belles and Beaux on Hunter Street Newcastle. – Boys suits were purchased from Rundles Tailoring on Hunter Street Newcastle.
Who is doing your florals and your decorations?– Floral arrangements and decorations are being created and set up by MeOhMyFlowers.
Name 2 things you want your guests to remember about your wedding– we want our guests to walk away with loving memories of the day/ night. We want them to remember the wedding as fun but also romantic.
What is your first dance song?– Our first dance song will be “Aint Met Us Yet” we felt this song was very fitting for our love story and personalities. It’s also a song that makes Tegan feel emotional each time she listens to it,
thinking about the night.
