Lisa came highly recommended to us as an amazing photographer. When we met up we could tell straight away she was easy going, professional and really loves what she does. We booked her straight away. Lisa added us to her Facebook so we got to see her amazing work but also build a rapport with her online. She was easy to contact and would send little check-in messages to ask if we needed anything. On the day Lisa was so happy for us and fit straight in introducing herself and snapping those beautiful candid pictures. Lisa capture every moment of our wedding without being intrusive or posing people. The blog was done the next morning with a slideshow of photos we were able to share with family at our morning after breakfast which triggered the tears again! The photos are amazing. To our surprise, our photos were edited and sent to us 2 days later! We are so grateful for the truly incredible photographs Lisa captured of our special day. Not a moment was missed. We will cherish these photos forever. Thank you so much Lisa, you are truly amazing.
How did you meet each other? – Through friends, we only started dating a year after we had met as Allison moved overseas and then came back.
Describe your ideal wedding day – All the guests have a fun time and dance a lot, the speeches are entertaining and we actually get to spend a bit of time together.
Who did you choose to marry you, and why? – Leanne Coughlan, she’s the mother of Allison’s close friend Josh that she went to high School with and a lovely person that Allison has travelled with to China
Tell me about your venue? What was the deciding factor? – James grew up in Canberra and had been to a wedding at The Boathouse and we wanted something with natural beauty and privacy so the party could be loud and go until late. Allison grew up on the water so loved the idea as
well.
Why did you end up choosing Lisa Lent to shoot your day? – Lisa was Allison’s mum favourite wedding photographer and when we looked through her work we were impressed. Lisa has photographed Allison and her family in the past and is a very friendly and down-to-earth professional.
Which company is doing your hair and make up? – Amy Capeda for make-up and Kate Lily Hairdressing for hair.
Are you having a DJ or live band? Who did you choose? – A DJ who is a friend of James. We both love music so had a lot of songs we wanted played.
Where did you get your wedding day clothing from ? – Wedding dress was hand-made in Singapore from TWC (The Wedding Company) and James’ suit is from Isaia, an Italian brand.
Who is doing your florals and your decorations? – Florals by Moxom and Whitney and fairy lights from Show Pony Events. No other decorations.
